Billing models in e-mail marketing
A number of different billing models are used in e-mail marketing, depending on the provider. We will help you cut costs and find the e-mail mailing lists with the most favourable cost-benefit ratio for your needs. Depending on your marketing objectives, you have the following options:
CPM (cost per mille) is the most common billing model. You pay a price set by the owner which is charged per thousand mails sent.
CPC / CPL (cost per click / cost per lead) are performance-based billing models. In this case, you pay a previously agreed amount for
– Each recipient who clicks on a link in the e-mail
– Each new newsletter subscriber or
– The address details of prospects who you may then contact to provide information on a desired topic.
This billing model makes sense for you in particular when you are building up a mailing list or wish to sell products in a multi-stage process.
CPS / CPO (cost per sale / cost per order) is a performance-based pricing model with which you take no risks. Under this model, you pay a previously agreed fixed amount for every purchase generated from the e-mail addresses used.
